Review: Pretty Quik Instant Nail Polish Remover

Product: Pretty Quik (Manicure on the go) Instant Nail Polish Remover

A tub with spongey material soaked in nail polish remover on the inside, you put your finger in 'dip and twist' and the nail polish rubs off.

What I like about it:

I like the convenience and novelty of it. It is really convenient to just bring one small tub for travelling or sleepovers instead of having to bring a big bottle of nail polish remover and loads of cotton pads.

It is also quite novel to 'simply dip and twist' as the instructions state.

It definitely does work and I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly it got off nail polish. Also, the formula (although strong) does not seem to be very drying on the cuticles and the smell is quite tolerable.

It is also pretty value for money as this tub lasted me a good 4 months of weekly use.

What I dislike about it:

Does not remove glitter nail polish, but then again i'm not expecting miracles ;) Glitter nail polish is very difficult to remove by itself.

Overall, a really convenient nail polish remover to have on travels!

How to make your manicure last for weeks! (Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat, Barry M Basecoat Topcoat & Nail Hardener All In One)

This post is sharing my nail secrets since I hear many friends complaining about how their nails don't last.

1) Technique

Apply a base coat + nail polish + top coat.

These steps will help to protect your nails and seal in your nail colour.

Also, be careful not to apply too many coats of nail polish, as too thick a layer will make it very easy to chip.

2) Top Coat

This is the primary secret.

The best top coat I have used is the Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

"widely acknowledged as the worlds finest top coat. Its patented formula penetrates through the nail laquer to the base coat forming a single solid coating over the nail plate for a much durable finish, guaranteed not to yellow and leaves nails silky, stronger and resistant to chipping and peeling."

This comes from their website and I totally agree. Available here!

I also really like the Barry M All In One Basecoat Topcoat & Nail Hardener. It works just as advertises, and I really like using it as a topcoat. It is also a more affordable option and easily available in the UK.

My nails usually last about 2-3 weeks. Investing in a top coat means you actually save more money by not needing to get your nails done so often.

Invest in a top coat today! :)
