Product: Maybelline Great Lash Mascara (Non-waterproof)
What I like about it:
Very inexpensive, packaging is cute.
Brush is a nice size, not too big and does get your lashes well.
Easy to remove.
What I dislike about it:
Formula is very wet, cannot hold a curl at all. Has decent lengthening effect and is fairly black.
To make it work, I resort to curling my lashes again after I put on mascara which is largely discouraged by beauty experts as it tends to damage lashes and you risk pulling some out.
Also, since the formula is so wet, tends to smudge.
Given the hype over this mascara, I was very disappointed to see its poor effects.
Edit: After experimenting for a bit, I realized it works alright when layered with another mascara but overall, wouldn't repurchase.

Review: Rimmel Exaggerate Liquid Eyeliner
Product: Rimmel Exaggerate Liquid Eyeliner (Black)
What I Like about it:
Good formula which lasts throughout the day.
The brush is like a felt-tip, fairly hard so I find it easier to control (as compared to flexible brush types). It is also thin so your lines can be precise & easy to do winged liner.
It seems like a small bottle, but it has lasted me for ages & hasn't dried out.
What I Dislike about it:
You can't really go over your line multiple times, will get flaky.
The pigment could be darker.
Overall, I like the brush, good for beginners to liquid eyeliner. I often draw a line then use an angled brush with some black eyeshadow to fill in any gaps.

Review: ZA Liquid Eyeliner
Product: ZA Liquid Eyeliner
ZA is a fairly popular, inexpensive drug store brand in Asia. I admit that I was initally skeptical about this product, being fairly inexpensive.
What I like about it:
It has a thin flexible brush applicator (see picture) which I find fairly easy to work with. I can do my winged eyeliner quite easily with some practice.
The product comes out quite even and the colour is a true black. I find that it lasts throughout the day and doesn't flake off.
It is also fairly easy to remove, I don't really like stubborn eyeliners as excessive tugging to remove your eye make up will make you prone to wrinkles :/
What I dislike about it:
I have been using it for about 2 months and no complaints so far. My only problem is that it may not be as suitable for beginners since the brush is fairly flexible and may be a little difficult to control.
Overall, an excellent product, worth your money!

Review: Revlon's Colorstay 12 Hour Eye Shadow Quad in 02 Coffee Bean
Product: Revlon Colorstay 12 Hour Eye Shadow Quad in 02 Coffee Bean
What I like about it:
Affordable neutrals palette! The colours are versatile and neutral. They are also pigmented and there is a lot of product.
The first 2 colours make great shadows for highlight and blending. The third is a reddish-copper colour which is really beautiful. The last dark brown shade is my favourite. It is very matte, which is great as usually drugstore products/affordable eye palettes usually offer shimmer colours. It is a very nice brown which is more cool toned, which I love, instead of the usual warm-toned browns. It is a true chocolate brown.
The eyeshadows last for throughout the day for me, but note that I have normal skin. Oily eyelids should probably use an eye primer.
What I dislike about it:
The first 2 colours aren't really pigmented but I find them useful for blending the harsh edges of colours.
Overall, an excellent affordable neutrals palette.
