Review: La roche posay Hydraphase UV Intense Light

Product: La roche posay Hydraphase UV Intense Light

From the La Roche-Posay website:

"Tight Cellular Junctions Technology: Hyaluronic Acid Fragments ensure epidermal cohesion to infuse and lock water in for ultra long-lasting hydration. Adapted to sensitive skin.
The filtering system helps protect skin against damages caused by daily exposure to UVA & UVB rays."

What I like about it:

This is a moisturizer that has broad spectrum sun protection - both UVA & UVB which is great.

It comes out very much like sunscreen, the texture and appearance. However, it is very lightweight on the skin and blends quickly and effortlessly. This is important since I usually really dislike the feeling of sunscreen.

The moisturizing elements is quite good. You see an immediate difference and your skin does feel hydrated throughout the day. It also works very well under makeup, giving you a nice glow and acting as a smoothing primer.

The packaging is really ideal as it is in a pump bottle.

What I dislike about it:

SPF 20 is a little low if you are using this on your own as your only sun protection.

More importantly, my sensitive skin reacts to it. In fact, it says on the bottle itself to avoid the eye contour. Disappointing for an expensive product that is supposed to cater to sensitive skin.

However, if you aren't too sensitive I do think it is a good day moisturizer.
