Review: The Body Shop Seaweed Ionic Clay Mask

Product: The Body Shop Seaweed Ionic Clay Mask

What I like about it:

It is basically a grey clay mask that you put on your face for 10-15minutes and it is targeted at combination/oily skin and claims to purify, cleanse and control excess oil.

I find that it does what it says and really helps to clean my face.

Also, although I have sensitive skin, it doesn't irritate my face at all which means it is a gentle yet effective mask.

What I dislike about it:

Can't really fault it, an affordable product which really helps to clean your face and draw out impurities and remove excess oil.

I do make it a point to moisturize after as clay masks tend to be drying.

Review: Barry M Nail Paint/Nail Polish

Product: Barry M Nail Paint

I LOVE the colour in 'Berry Ice Cream' and the colour & formula is fantastic.

Barry M 'Berry Ice cream' with sparkly silver tips*

*I'm using Collection Bedazzled Nail Effects in 1 Razzle Dazzle (silver tips).

The 'Mint Green' one is also lovely. I have a tutorial on mint green polka dot nails here.

However, I also have one in 'Bright Pink' and while the colour is  a lovely barbie pink, the formula for this colour is very streaky so I wouldn't recommend it.

It seems strange that the same nail line has different formulas, but that has been my experience so far.

As for the glitter polish line, they are very pigmented and sparkly. I have one in Amethyst Glitter which is an intense rainbow glitter. Great for an accent nail.

Overall, they have good colour pay off and dry pretty quick & are long-lasting. Also, they don't stain your nails which is a HUGE plus for me as despite its affordable price tag, it is good quality. I highly recommend the colour berry ice cream!

Review: Collection 2000 Eye Definition Liquid Eyeliner (Ebony 1)

Product: Collection 2000 Eye Definition Liquid Eyeliner (Ebony 1)

What I like about it:

Really affordable, often on 2 for 5 pounds on Superdrug!

The brush is a flexible brush tip & able to get precise lines.

Formula is very black and quite long lasting.

What I dislike about it:

It takes very long to dry, as you can see from the swatch perhaps from its watery formula and unfortunately, this is a deal breaker for me. Additionally, when it does dry, it feels a little irritating on the eye (i have sensitive eyelids).

Also, personally, i prefer pen type of applicators as I find them easier to work with than flexible brush tips.

Review: Make Up Academy (MUA) Liner Waterproof Black

Review: Make Up Academy (MUA) Liquid Eyeliner Waterproof Black

What I like about it:

The price, 1 pound!

What I dislike about it:

The brush is too flexible/flimsy, making it very difficult to draw a precise line.

The formula is flaky and does not go on well.

Really disappointing product.

Review: Soap and Glory Flake Away Body Scrub

Product: Soap and Glory Flake Away Body Scrub

"Superhero-strength skin smoothing body exfoliator with shea butter, sweet almond oil, peach seed powder, sea salt and sugar"

What I like about it:

Works as it claims, really intense exfoliating particles and has a wonderful smell.

A little goes a long way and it definitely scrubs away the dead skin cells.

Most importantly, I love that it does not dry out the skin AT ALL and in fact leaves the body feeling moisturized after you rinse it off, the shea butter really kicks in and leaves your skin soft and moisturized.

What I dislike about it:

Nothing much to fault except maybe the tub packaging. Pumps are always easier to use and more hygienic.

Review: Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Night Treatment Gel

Product: Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Night Treatment Gel

What I like about it:

This product sounds like a dream. Non-greasy and  contains antibacterial Tea Tree Oil and skin calming Witch Hazel. It is also easily available from the drugstore and is very affordable for a pretty large tube.

It is clear, dries matte and is easy to use.

What I dislike about it:

I reacted really badly to it as I have sensitive skin. It may have been the scent as I react to heavily fragranced products.

However, some of my friends say that this works well on their normal/oily skin and does help to clear up their spots.

Overall, I would not recommend it for people with sensitive skin.

Review: Primark False Eyelashes

Product: Primark Beauty Natural Look Lashes with Adhesive

Primark Natural Look False Eyelashes

What I like about it:

Very light and comfortable on the eye! (I did trim them a little to fit my eyes better, but I do that with most lashes to make them more comfortable. Lashes on the inner corner of the eye usually irritate me and is prone to come off.)

Looks very natural as it claims and in photos you just look like you have long thick lashes.

Suitable for day time wear.

Able to re-use as well.

What I dislike about it:

Although it is great that the lashes come with glue, it is not the best quality but if you don't particularly have sensitive eyelids, it should work fine.

Overall, an amazing value for money product. For only 1 pound, it is really worth the money and an excellent product! Will definitely try the other kinds soon :)

Edit: Recently purchased the "Sultry Look Lashes" and I love them!! They have more length than the natural look ones but the lashes are less dark & stiff, making them more natural looking. Only quip is the band is much more flexible/weak and thus probably can't get that many uses out of it.
